5 - How to bet with the odds we want
Let us get back to the computer selling situation one more time. Consider now that you are the owner, and you have settled a price that you think it's fair and you are not considering to reduce it. You will have to wait for someone agreeing with the price you've settled in order to reach an agreement, otherwise there will be no deal.
The same situation happens at Betfair. If you don't enjoy the odds available at the moment, you may settle an odd which you think it's fair and wait for someone to match your bet. This is a terrific way of getting better odds.
The example above shows us how to change the current odds to more fair ones. For that, you only have to click on a blue box, or a pink box for a Lay bet, and change the odd showed on the right side. In this case we have raised the current odd (3,65) to 3,8. Your bet is submitted to the Betting Exchange after your confirmation.
Attention:
Always check if your bets are fully matched on your "my bets" tab. Betting Exchanges are changing all the time because there are thousands of people betting simultaneously from all over the world. The odds on which you bet and the respective maximum stake value may change at any moment.
